| Welcome to The Old Guy's Place |
|

This site is dedicated to American V-Twin motorcycles and the men and women who have ridden them, and still ride them, in mid-life and later. There are no specific age limits. You know who you are. The same goes for the bikes: Harley or Indian, vintage stock or radical custom, 45" or 113", from Flatheads to Twin Cams; so long as it's American iron.
Visit the The Old Guy's Place and share knowledge, advise, technical tips, stories, and jokes with other members.
See some of the Members's bikes or browse through some Classic American Iron and Custom bikes we've found on the web.
You are also welcome to post a tribute at the Memorials page to friends and loved ones who've taken their last ride.
We have compiled links of interest to bikers looking for the best prices available on new and hard to find v-twin parts on the Parts and Shops page. As your recommendations come in I'll build a state by state directory of dependable motorcycle machine shops and independent dealers of Harley and Indian parts and accessories.
One of our founding members suggested an alphabetical index of Tech Tips and information, so we'll be adding technical information as the tips come in from our members.
Welcome, and I hope you all enjoy these pages. |
Thanks, DB

|
Efren, "Grunt", is one of our Founding Members. His '62 Panhead Bobber has just been rebuilt into this knucklehead hardtail frame. The bike has stock 74" displacement and runs an S&S "E" carb, points ignition , and automatic advance. He has upgraded the electrical system to 12 volts.
Check out the Scooter Photos pages. Submit a photo to add your bike to the archive. The coolest shots from the archives will appear in the "Spotlight" on this page, which will be updated regularly.
Submit photos of friends you've made and places you've been, yesterday and today, to the People and Places archive. From your Granddad to your Grandson. From mountain forests, to desert dunes.
